As many of you may know, I’m a frequent guest on Dr. Oz. He is fascinated by the way the subconscious dreaming mind works, especially in relation to our health. In my most recent appearance, I explained how our dreams are like a second brain that, instead of focusing on what is going on around us, it focuses on what is going on inside of us and will often give us messages about our our body and our health before any symptoms appear.

In my research, I’ve found that there are three main symbols that seem to be commenting on our health… often warning us about what may be going wrong. These symbols are the snake, the horse and the house. Certainly there are other symbols that are specific to each individual but these symbols seem to pop up the most when our dreams want to advise us about our bodies. So let’s explore them a little deeper. The following is an excerpt from my latest book Dream On It, Unlock Your Dreams Change Your Life…

The snake For as long as I have been studying and researching dreams, I am still surprised how often snakes slither into the collective dreamscape. Snakes evoke fear in most of us, even to the point of phobia! They have sharp teeth, a demonic forked tongue. They can strike at lightning speed and inject you with their poison. Shudder.

Because of these widely-feared characteristics, the dreaming mind often uses a snake to represent the dangerous, venomous behavior of yourself, or more often of someone close to you who is typically male. Yes, the phallic shape of the snake plays a big role in its meaning.

Interestingly enough, snakes in a dream can also signify the onset of emotional or physical healing. The connection can be found in the Caduceus, the symbol for medicine, which is two snakes wrapped around a winged staff. We’ve grown accustomed to seeing this symbol on the side of ambulances, in pharmacies and in hospitals and therefore it is embedded in our subconscious that snakes equal healing. Shelley’s dream below is a great example of the duality of the snake symbol.

I’ve had several dreams about snakes lately. In the first dream I was trying to get away from a multi-colored poisonous snake. It kept striking at me, but never bit me. A few nights ago, I dreamed I was riding my bike and was being pursued by a snake that kept trying to strike at my ankles. – Shelley 42

Lauri: Is there a man in your life that is causing you problems? Or is there a physical or emotional issue you are trying to heal from? The bicycle in your second dream leads me to believe you are trying to balance both of these issues. The fact that the snake never bites is an indication that there is no resolution to either.

Shelley replies: Yes and yes! There are issues with my spouse and I am also trying to heal from health and emotional issues: narcolepsy, depression, arthritis and a variety of other things that give me low energy. I feel like my husband punishes me for being ill. He walks away from me when I’m grieving the recent loss of my father. He threatens to get rid of our pets just to get a reaction out of me. He seems to enjoy upsetting me. I could continue on and on, but I think you get the idea.

Shelley’s healing has yet to begin because her husband’s behavior only aggravates her illness and her illness only aggravates her husband. She is in a vicious, poisonous cycle and her wise inner mind will continue to nag her with snake dreams until she puts a stop to it, one way or the other. Believe it or not, despite the fearful element of a snake in a dream, a snake bite is a good sign that healing, whether it be emotional or physical, is underway. Think of a snake bite in a dream as an injection of healing serum.

The horse When looking at a horse, it’s hard not to respect it as the mighty and noble beast that it is. And when riding a horse, it’s hard not to feel somewhat powerful and “high on your horse” as you control the muscular steed with just a tug of the reins or a gentle kick to its sides. Sturdiness, reliability, strength and nobility; these characteristics will show up in our dreams in the form of a horse when circumstances call upon us to behave this way in waking life. But the horse can also show up in our dreams when we need to grab the reins on our health.

Virgil’s dream below not only shows us how a horse represents strong, noble, determined behavior, but can also represent ones health. Remember the old saying, “I’m as healthy as a horse?” Yep, it certainly applies here.

I am sitting in my backyard when I see my childhood horse, Blaze, sauntering up to the table. He snorted and nudged me until I grabbed the reins and walked with him. We went down to the river and he showed me a campfire which had burned out. In the ashes was a small, tin box. He kept nudging me with his head. I picked up the box. Inside was a shining key. I put the key in my hand and I was flying.– Virgil 56

Lauri: Like the campfire, have you “burned out”? Or has some project or relationship been extinguished? Your horse is most likely your inner strength and your health and they are urging and nudging you to get your energy level back up to where it should be so you can reignite that project or relationship. I think your dream may be showing you that “the key” is to realize that you CAN “rise above” the situation, get back in the saddle and get your life “off the ground again.”

Virgil replies: I am burned out from working hard and recovering from a bad accident. I am basically fully recovered from the accident but, it really “burned me out.” I do feel my inner strength pointing me in new directions. Understanding this dream really made me think about my possibilities.

Virgil’s dream not only shows us how a horse represents strong, noble, determined behavior, but can also represent ones health. Remember the old saying, “I’m as healthy as a horse?” Yep, it certainly applies here. Virgil’s dream was letting him know that he was healthy as a horse again after his accident and that it’s time to stop worrying, saddle up and persevere.

The house Our dream homes say a lot about us, probably more than any other dream symbol. The dreaming mind uses the home in order to show you yourself, your state of mind and even your body in the form of a physical structure so you can better understand your own personality construct, thought construct and even body construct. Look at your house dreams as an honest blueprint of your current self image and state of health.

I constantly dream of having to redo a house I am about to move into. It is old and the walls are mildewed and the furniture is old and dusty, covered in sheets, sometimes decayed even. I am usually walking through the house, kind of afraid, telling whoever I am with about all the work that needs to be done. Often times, the house has secret rooms and or bizarre staircases that wind all over the place and lead to nowhere. – Crissy 35

Lauri: You are probably trying to move on from something but aren’t being terribly successful at it. The house is old because this is an old issue in your life. The mildew and dust point to something in your life that has been neglected. Did you ever feel neglected in your life? In your childhood? The items covered in sheets represent memories you have covered up because you don’t want to deal with them. The secret rooms may even be about things in your life that you don’t want others to know. The staircases that lead nowhere show us that you have not been able to progress past these issues and, to some degree, they have kept you trapped emotionally, perhaps even physically. Psychological and emotional pain will lead to physical issues if not dealt with. You keep getting this dream because your inner mind wants to move on from it. Are you holding on to any resentment or anger from the past? The dreams can’t move forward until you move forward.

Crissy replies: This was very helpful. I know that I do have issues that need to be dealt with. I actually was neglected a good bit as a child. I do harbor resentment towards my mother and this has affected my weight for most of my life. The reason I can’t deal with it is because she is mentally ill and can’t be held responsible for the way things happened in my childhood. I have been in therapy before, but sometimes these issues are just overwhelming to confront. I guess it is emotional laziness on my part. Time to revisit my therapist.

While the meanings stated above for the snake, the horse and the house are certainly not the only meanings behind these symbols, they are the most common according to my research. Like Virgil, Shelley and Chrissy, your dreams are giving you clues about your health and about your life too. Remember, you and your dreams (your second brain) are partners in monitoring and improving your emotional and physical well being. Like I always say, when you can understand your dreams, you can CHANGE YOUR LIFE!!

When I first began studying and researching dreams, I was surprised how often snakes slither into the collective dreamscape. All these years later it still amazes me how many snake dreams are reported to me daily, and the majority of them are rather frightening… with good reason.

Yes, the phallic shape of the snake plays a big role in its meaning (the following is from my nationally syndicated newspaper column The Dream Zone)…

Dear Lauri,
I was on a boat tour in the jungle. It was a canal with trees hanging overhead. They told us about these really venomous snakes in the trees, and almost immediately, one fell on me and bit me. It happened two or three more times, and even though the boat was full they only bit ME. The bites turned into these giant cysts. I started squeezing one on my hand and squirting my dad with what was inside. After that I was in a really cold setting and kept jumping in this pool even though I could get hypothermia. But I swear it was helping the bites heal. – Teresa 25, Fort Wayne, IN

Lauri: Is there a man in your life that has been poisonous to you? Perhaps striking at you with biting criticism or other poisonous behavior? And is it someone in your family? Someone who is “above” you like an older brother or… your dad? I ask because trees in dreams tend to represent family and snakes tend to represent men with low down, poisonous behavior. The cold setting tells us that things have become very icy between the two of you. It seems that you have to continually keep yourself cold and uncaring towards him so that the emotional wounds he inflicts upon you don’t get too deeply under your skin. It’s a shame that is the situation but your dream is letting you know that it is working for you.

Teresa replies: This makes perfect sense, actually. My father is a condescending jerk and last night was being just that. I got into a little tizzy with him and finally just left the room because there’s no arguing with him. This isn’t anything new and the cold feelings have been there for quite a long time.

Our dreams have a really cool way of giving form to our deepest thoughts and feelings. Teresa feels her dad is a snake in the grass and has exhibited venomous behavior towards her for a long time. Giving form to our thoughts and feelings allows us to better understand ourselves and how we react to the people and world around us on a much deeper level. Having this deeper understanding also allows us to make better decisions, improve our relationships and improve our behavior. Teresa’s dream is also showing her that she is effectively dealing with her emotions regarding her father. She is not allowing his biting remarks to fester. Like the cysts in her dream, she releases what is inside. Good job Teresa!

We all tend to do unspeakable things in our dreams from time to time, and sure, these dreams certainly do make us wonder about ourselves, but if these dreams were to be taken literally we’d all be closeted murderers, cannibals and adulterers!

If you find yourself to be a homicidal maniac in your dreams, fear not! There is actually good solid advice for you hidden within that murderous rampage. The audio below is just such an example. I was a guest on Kix 97.9 in Springfield, MA the other morning when a guy named Joel called in and wanted to know why he dreamed of shooting his dog!

You see, even the most vile of acts in a dream hold constructive advice for you. Remember, your dreams are not there to frighten you, they are there to enlighten you!

Are you dreaming of horrendous activities? Are your dreams frightening or disturbing you? Are you getting the same dream again and again? Your dreams don’t have to trouble you anymore! My dream books make it easy to figure out your dreams and find the powerful made-for-you message. They also make fantastic gifts!

“I bought your books for my daughter and she loved them so much she told me I had to get my own! Thank you!!” – Yvette, Santa Maria, CA

“Your books have been so helpful. I’m seeing my dreams in a much different light. I can’t believe how simple the symbology is once you get the hang of it. “ – Patricia, Chico, CA

A fairly common but confusing element to many of our dreams is morphing or shape shifting. For example, I recently dreamed I was me but when I looked into the mirror I had morphed into Whitney Houston. Later in the dream I was being interviewed by Steve Harvey but he morphed into Patrick Stewart with a really bad wig!

I actually got to tell Steve Harvey that dream the first time I was on his show. He didn’t know who Patrick Stewart was!

Dreams are funny when they get all shape-shifty like that, but there is also a reason they do that… and it’s all about changes that are taking place in your life or within you. If you think about the most recent changes that have happened in your life, can you see how one situation in your life has sort of morphed into a different situation? Or how your attitude or perspective has shifted recently? Changes aren’t typically sudden. They tend to evolve with time. Our dreams will give form to the changes in our life by the cool effect of morphing or shape shifting in order to give us a better understanding of the changes at hand.

Below is a great example of how our dreams use morphing to illustrate changes. This is from my nationally syndicated newspaper column The Dream Zone…

Dear Lauri,
In my dream I kept morphing into different animals. Each animal was like a progression to the next level up. I went from a deer to a wolf to a tiger and then a hawk. These people were trying to capture me, but when I became the hawk I was able to soar and none of them could reach me or even get close. – Lacie 24, Salt Lake City, UT

Lauri: All the morphing in this dream suggests you and/or your life has been changing. The animals are clues as to what these changes are. The deer suggests you may have started out feeling victimized, the wolf means you then decided to take on the mindset of a predator rather than victim and that seems to have led you to discovering your feminine prowess, symbolized by the tiger. And the final transformation is very fitting, a hawk. You have risen above and freed yourself from that which had you playing the victim and now can see, like a hawk, through those that would not have your best interests at heart. In a nutshell, have you realized that you are above certain lowly behaviors and attitudes and, just as no one could touch you in the dream, do you now feel you will no longer allow yourself to be trapped in bad situations or bad relationships?

Lacie replies: Wow! I would say that is right on point. I have had a TON of changes in my life. I finally got the raise I’ve been working my butt off for. There was a lot of drama with that and I did feel like a victim and like I wasn’t being rewarded. I also just moved into my own apartment. I would say that all this has given me a lot of confidence in myself. That is interesting about the deer to wolf morph because I had just came across a quote that said, don’t be a victim, be a warrior. Kinda crazy!!

Lacie’s dream shows us how the changes she is making in her life are improving who she is. She is no longer a victim. Her dream is a pat on the back from her subconscious mind. When you have a morphing dream, ask yourself first how the morphing in the dream seems to correlate to changes in your waking life. Then ask yourself if the morphing shows a positive progression or a regression. These questions should give you clarity on whether your waking life changes are good for you or not.

Have you had a dog frolic into your dreamscape recently? I’ll bet you have! Dogs are the most dreamt of animal, according to my research, because of the characteristics they possess and because those characteristics are a basic, fundamental human need. I am talking about loyalty and friendship. Dogs are known to be loyal to their masters and are also known as man’s best friend. It is their instinct to befriend humans as the relationship between man and dog throughout history has proven to be beneficial to both.

Because of this, dogs in dreams have come to represent our own instinctive loyalty towards someone as well as someone’s loyalty towards us. When you get a dog dream it is always best to look at your relationships first as well as the behavior you and the other person are exhibiting within the relationship. Do that and, odds are, you’ll find that the condition and behavior of the dog(s) in the dream are eerily similar to the condition and behavior of the people in the relationship.

This audio clip is a glowing example of this! This is from yesterday morning when I was a guest on The Morning Rush on KISS FM in Toledo, OH. Listen to this fascinating clip and find out how listener Melissa’s scary dog dream was telling her exactly what to do in regards to a relationship she was uncertain about…
Our relationships encompass a huge area of our lives. One of the keys to having a better life is to have better relationships. And if you pay attention to, and learn to understand your dreams, you’ll be able to get those really powerful messages your dreams are trying to give you about your relationship… messages that will help you avoid the bad ones and improve the good ones!

Sometimes our dreams are a menagerie of the most exotic and wondrous animals. No matter how fantastical and Dr. Seuss-like or how real and menacing, the animals our dreaming mind presents to us symbolize our primal instincts and behaviors, the way we naturally act or respond to situations without giving thought to it.

Each specific animal has their own specific behavior they are known for: dogs are loyal, cats are independent, elephants never forget. We also use animalistic behavior in our speech: I ate like a pig, my sister is very catty, you’re as stubborn as a mule, etc. These characteristics that we project onto animals often appear in our dreams in the form of that animal in order to show us our own current actions and behavior, or to show us how the actions and behavior of someone else is directly affecting us.

By understanding our own behavior in this way, or the behavior of someone around us, we can determine if we are currently behaving correctly in a current situation, or if someone we know is behaving in a healthy or harmful manner toward us.

Below is a list of the 5 most common animals that appear in our dreams and their common meanings. This was taken directly from the dictionary portion of my book Dream on It, Unlock Your Dreams Change Your Life…

CATS – Feminine sexual energy. “sex kitten.” A cat biting you can mean a call to intimacy. A sick or starving cat can mean you are having a dry spell. Can also point to independence, aloofness, gossip or “cattiness,” balance or any other qualities you associate with a cat. A predatory cat is your ability to protect your best interests as well as go out on the hunt and get what you want in life. If the cat is a threat in your dream then this part of you is trying to get your attention because it wants you to utilize it in your life.

DOGS – Symbolizes someone you feel is a loyal companion. Usually refers to your mate but could also be a friend or co-worker. It could also represent something you have loyalty towards, something you need to stick to such as your fitness, quitting smoking, eating better, etc. A dog could also symbolize a fear if you are afraid of dogs. May also symbolize your need or desire to buckle down and train yourself to behave.

Look at the type of dog in your dream. What is that type of dog known for?

German Shepherd: Best known for being a guard dog or police dog. Are you being or do you need to be guarded when it comes to a particular relationship? Are you overly protective?

Husky: Best known as a sled dog. Are you carrying a heavy burden? Are you dragging an issue on too long?

Dalmatian: Is there a ‘fire’ or urgent situation you need to put out?

SNAKES – Masculine energy. If you are a woman and are dreaming of snakes, look at the men in your life and ask yourself if there is an issue there with your husband, boyfriend, boss, brother, etc. If you are a man then a snake may refer to your own fertility or masculine power. A snake can also symbolize healing energy. Are you in need of emotional or physical healing? A snakebite means emotional or physical healing is about to begin. The injection of the venom is like the injection of a shot. Snakes can also symbolize wisdom and knowledge (as in the Adam and Eve story). Have you learned something new recently? May also represent a fear or temptation, something that could turn into a poisonous situation.

*Like the animal art in this post? These are from the deck of Oracle cards I am designing for Medium Jay Lane.

HORSES – Strength, nobility. Your ability to get back in the saddle when life knocks you down. Can also refer to your health. An injured or sick horse may mean that you are not feeling strong enough or perhaps healthy enough to handle something.

SPIDERS – Deceit, a web of lies. Ask yourself who around you may not be trustworthy. Spiders can also mean someone or something is “bugging” you to the point that you are feeling trapped, just as a spider uses its web to trap its prey.

Whether it’s a car, plane or bus, the crash dream is scary as heck and often makes us fearful of traveling. You’ve got to remember though, that dreams are symbolic and as scary as a crash dream may be, the message it has for you is unbelievably helpful to your life…

Dear Lauri,
I dreamed that my dad and dog and I were on a plane when the wings broke off and we crashed into the ocean. We survived but my dog had turned into a fish. With its fins and tail severed and died in my arms. Also the ocean turned out to be a huge pool. – Candice 31, Middletown, NY

Lauri: The plane crash suggests something you had high hopes for came crashing down instead of reaching new and higher levels. This most likely has to do with a relationship since your dog was a part of the dream. Dogs can usually be connected to a relationship in your life where there is friendship and loyalty. The breaking off of the wings suggests there has been a break up. Your dog turned into a fish because your dreaming mind is telling you there are other fish in the sea… and at the same time another part of you is telling you, “No more relationships for now,” hence the fish dying in your arms. The fins and tail are severed just like the wings of the plane that broke off, which means your wiser inner dreaming mind is telling you it is best that you sever ties. The ocean represents the vast, even overwhelming idea of dating again… it shrinks down to a pool because your dream is trying to show you the “dating pool” isn’t as overwhelming as it may seem at the moment. You can totally handle it! Don’t be overwhelmed or afraid. You deserve a healthy life companionship.

Candice replies: That interpretation was entirely spot on. I did just go through an awful breakup with a guy that had turned abusive towards me. I knew the dream stemmed from the breakup and am finding it probably is best to sever all ties from that person. The explanation was extremely helpful Thank you so much!

No matter what issue life throws at you, your dreams will always be there to guide you through and help you find the answer you need… once you can understand them. You see, our dreams speak in symbols and being able to know what those symbols in your dreams mean is a huge key in unlocking the message. My book Cracking The Dream Code has a comprehensive dream dictionary of 1000 symbols fully explained: planes, fish, dogs, death, you name it, this book covers it! You’ll also learn how to remember your dreams, how to understand all the different parts of your dreams and even how to dream about anything you want!! Trust me, bedtime will never be the same…

“I gave my daughter Cracking The Dream Code last night and she LOVED IT! She claimed (from reading your book) that she already ‘made’ the dream she wanted to happen last night, happen. *lol* She wanted to write it down this morning and even took the book/journal with her to school today.” – Jennifer Keyes, Holt, MI

Since you are reading this article, you obviously know that your dreams are important. But what you may not know is that your dream life is just as important as your waking life. Whatever answers you seek during the day are given to you at night in your dreams… but in a different language… a symbolic language.

One of the most important keys to understanding your dreams is not to look AT them but to look IN to them. Every object, every character, even the actions and the setting of your dream is symbolic of something that is going on in your life and in your mind RIGHT NOW! Do not take your dreams literally. Your dreams are full of symbols and when you can understand those symbols you’ll be able to see how they are directly connected to your life today and are even giving you direction on how to deal with tomorrow.

To show you what I mean, I will cover the 12 most common dreams we all share and what they mean.

Being chased: If you are being chased then you are running from some issue or confrontation in waking life you’d rather not face. What or whom are you avoiding? Learn to face your issues right away. When you do, the being chased dreams will stop.

Car: A car in a dream shows how you are traveling through life or through a particular situation. Can also refer to how you are ‘driven’ or motivated. A speeding car is a good indication you need to slow down and take it easy in waking life. A car with no brakes means you are having difficulty putting the brakes on something. A crashing car may indicate you are headed for a crash, a rude awakening. An out of control car means you have lost control of something in your life. A car that won’t start indicates you are having trouble getting things up and running or that you have lost your ‘drive’ or motivation. It’s always good to be in the driver seat of your car, it means you are in control. If your car is stolen then you may be feeling directionless in your life or you may be having a difficult time making a decision, feeling unsure what direction to take.

Cheating: Unless you have a good reason to suspect your mate is cheating on you, I wouldn’t start looking through their drawers or pockets just yet! Ask yourself if your loved one doing too much of something that takes away from the relationship? Your subconscious mind may see it as a ‘mistress’ or another man. Your dream is telling you that you are feeling ‘cheated’ out of your loved one’s time and attention. If you are the one cheating, ask yourself what you may be doing that is taking away from the time your mate needs from you. Is it a new baby? Is it your job? Your friends? Traveling? These dreams are telling you that you and your mate need to find a way to appreciate one another more.

Death: Change, the old dying off in order to make way for the new. The end of an issue or relationship. A part of yourself, a part of your life, something in your world coming to a close. Our dreams often equate a change in our life to death because – as with death – when a change is happening we tend to fear what may be “on the other side” of that change. If you are dreaming of death, fear not. Rebirth is around the corner. Dead people in a dream usually refer to issues that are dead, that you should no longer give any energy to. Ask yourself if you are holding a grudge that you need to let die. Actual dead people you once knew often refer to that point in your life when they were around. Is there anything about who you were then that you need to bring back to life now?

Dog: Symbolizes someone you feel is a loyal companion. Dalmation: Is there a ‘fire’ or urgent situation you need to put out?

Falling: Fear of failure, of losing status or of losing control. You’ve suffered a big letdown or something in your life is going rapidly in the wrong direction: your finances? A relationship? Your career? Your self esteem? Time to redirect this situation immediately! Sometimes falling can point to falling into a depression.

Flying: Your dream is showing you that you have the ability to break free from Earthly woes and from things that bring you down and make your soul feel heavy. Your ability to soar to new heights and

reach a higher level in life than where you are now. Can also be a pat on the back from your subconscious for doing a good job. What’s happening right now that makes your spirit feel like soaring?

House: No matter whether you dream of your actual house or some random dream house, it symbolizes YOU, your state of mind, the dwelling place of your soul. The state of the house reflects yourself at the time of the dream. Mansion: Could symbolize your goals. Grand ideas. An elaborate way of thinking and doing. New House: A new way of thinking and behaving. Old House: Old, out of date attitudes. An old soul. If the house is run down, you may be feeling tired and run down. House Under Construction: Rebuilding yourself, you are undergoing renovation, transformation. If it is a house you used to live in, then it may not be about the house but who you were back then. If you are trying to find your way back home then you are probably trying to get things back to normal in waking life. House You Used To Live In: It’s not about the house, it’s about who you were when you lived there, your state of mind at that time. Is there something going on now that is making you to feel that same way? Do you need to bring that state of mind from back then into the now? Or is there an issue that began back then that you haven’t been able to let go of? In that case, your dream may be showing you that it is impossible to move forward if you are still holding on to what is behind you. Time to move out of that old state of mind.

Nudity: What is causing you to feel embarrassed, vulnerable or unprepared in real life? Are you going to be or have you recently been in a situation where all eyes are on you? Have you ‘revealed’ a little too much about yourself or about something? This dream usually means you are concerned people are noticing your personality flaws. It may also mean you need to reveal the truth or get down to the bare facts.

Sex: A need to unite the qualities or opinions of someone else into your own life. Pick three words that describe your dream lover. Apply those words to yourself, to your life. Would you or your life improve if you took on one of those qualities or opinions? Sex in a dream is not always about a physical union you want but rather a psychological union you need. Also ask yourself if you have recently or if you need to “come together” on some level with the person you dreamed about. To have sex with someone of the same gender (if you are not gay) means you have probably done something recently that makes you proud of your gender. For example, pregnant women tend to get girl-on-girl dreams because there is nothing more feminine than creating life. Men can get a guy-on-guy dream when they land a hot date or get a promotion.

Teeth: Most often symbolize your words. If your teeth are falling out then you have been having loose speech, speaking without thinking or gossiping, you have allowed something out of your mouth that should have remained in there permanently… like your teeth! If you are spitting out your teeth then there is something that needs to be said.

Water: Your emotions. The state of the water will reflect the state of your emotions. Can also symbolize creative juices. A healing energy. Calm Clear Water: Clear about emotional decisions Muddy, Murky Water: Emotional confusion. Unable to see through an emotional issue. Depression. Rising Water/Flood: You may be getting in over your head, getting in too deep. An increasingly tough situation. Under Water: In over your head. Feeling overwhelmed. This dream is telling you it is time to take a breather and re-evaluate your current circumstances.
