Do you ever dream of driving your car off a bridge? My gosh, you’d be surprised how many people have this dream… and especially surprised how many people have developed gephyrophobia (fear of bridges) because of this dream! Below is one such gephyrophobe. Luckily for her, she sought out the true meaning of her dream, which allowed her to release her fear. The following is from my syndicated newspaper column The Dream Zone…

Dear Lauri,
I have a recurring dream of my car going off a bridge and I have to get me and my two sons out. We always make it out ok. It happens enough that I am spooked every time I go over a bridge and my boys are in the car. – Denise 32, Memphis, TN

Lauri: You ARE NOT seeing the future so don’t worry. You’d be surprised how many times someone sends me this sort of dream and tells me they are afraid to drive over bridges because of it. Bridges in dreams symbolize transition, getting from one point in your life to the next. We often dream of falling off bridges because transitions can be difficult and SCARY! When we feel unsure of making that transition successfully, we get the falling-off-a-bridge dream. Ask yourself what tough situation you are currently going through that you wish you could get you and your sons out of, just as you had to get your sons out of the car? You always make it out in your dream. This is how your dreaming mind is reassuring you that you WILL pull through just fine. You’ve got the chutzpa to get through anything girlfriend! Keep that in mind and this dream won’t bother coming back. Good luck!

Denise replies: I can relate this dream to the fact that I was diagnosed with severe dysphasia/pre cervical cancer in the fall. I had two procedures to stop the growth and as of now things are going okay. It’s been a very scary experience and I’ve often wondered if I was going to make it through. This dream makes so much sense now.

That dream you’re wondering about right now is trying to tell you something YOU NEED TO KNOW! When you can understand your dreams, you can change your life. Find Out What Your Dreams Mean Right Now

“I used your dictionary to look up some of the symbols in my dream and wow…. I had no idea that dreams could tell so much! It’s great to have this understanding and I wanted to thank you.” – Patty, Toledo, OH

There’s nothing more annoying than a roach scurrying across the floor, or an army of ants invading the pantry, or a swarm of mosquitoes chomping on everyone at your Barbecue. That is why, when we get annoyed over situations or people that pester and infest our mental space, we say that something or someone is really “bugging” us. This is also when these little suckers will creep and crawl into our dreams.

The type of bug in your dream is also important as it will give you even more information as to what or whom is bugging you in real life. Spiders are one of the more common bugs we will find in our dream scape. Read on to find out why. This is from my nationally syndicated column, The Dream Zone…

Dear Lauri: In the corner of a cardboard box was an enormous spider the size of my hand. I tried to kill it with one of those liquidizing wands. I tried about three times to kill the spider. As hard as I tried the spider was not in the least hurt nor threatened. It didn’t run away it just stood its ground and never moved. – Greer 61, Surrey, England

Lauri: When bugs infest our dreams, it’s a good indication that something or someone is really bugging us in waking life. Spiders in particular often are connected to deceit, a web of lies woven by someone around you. It is significant that you associated the spider with the size of your hand. This is the way your dream is trying to show you that this situation is absolutely something you can “handle.” The fact that you tried three times to kill the spider suggests that in waking life you attempted to put an end to this situation to no avail. Who has stood their ground with you? The cardboard box is important. A lot of times, when we dream of card board it is connected to money issues. It could also be related to you needing “to move” on (as we use card board boxes to pack and move) from this person or situation. It seems the message is change your tactics or move on, otherwise things will never change.

Greer replies: I think you have just about got it right. I was in a job situation where a colleague was on my case, no matter what I did or said would budge him. One time he even shoulder butted me. I am in the process of moving house, now that I have lost my job, I can’t afford to live at my present location in London. You are quite right. I know I have to alter my strategy and move on.

Your dreams don’t have to bug you anymore! Imagine being able to easily figure them out every single morning! Figuring out your dreams is not only fun, it provides you with priceless information and advice you need for your life.

Grab yourself a copy of of my latest book Dream On It and you’ll easily understand your dreams every morning and get a HUGE edge in life.

“Wow, what an amazing book so full of information! I will def be keeping this one on my nightstand and refer to it often!” – Kristi Roach, Angola, IN
